Grace Akello, 42, never attended school as a child. Through our adult literacy program, she learned to read and write. Now she teaches 47 adults in her village and helps her children with homework. "Education changed my life and my family's future," she says.

Before the protected water source, Bala village struggled with constant illness. Children missed school, adults couldn't work. Samuel Okello led the community effort to maintain the new water point. "We've seen an 87% drop in waterborne diseases. Our children are healthy and in school," he reports.

Beatrice Alum, 24, mobilized 28 young people to plant 3,200 trees on degraded land. What was once barren is now a thriving woodlot providing firewood and timber. "We're not just planting trees, we're planting hope for our future," Beatrice explains.

After completing vocational training, Lucia Auma started her own tailoring business. She now employs three other women and supports her family. "I went from depending on others to creating jobs. KIFA gave me the skills and confidence to succeed," she shares.

David Otim and his youth group successfully advocated for a health center in their sub-county. Through community dialogues and engagement with local leaders, they secured government commitment. "We learned that our voices matter and we can drive change," David says.
