Environmental Conservation
Protecting our natural heritage to secure livelihoods, health, and climate resilience for future generations.
Program Overview
Widespread deforestation for charcoal and timber, combined with unpredictable climate shifts, has severely threatened agricultural yields and water sources in Northern Uganda. Environmental degradation directly leads to poverty.
Our Environmental Conservation program mobilizes communities, particularly youth and schools, to take active roles in restoring their environment. We facilitate large-scale tree planting, establish community woodlots, and promote fuel-efficient stoves to reduce reliance on forest resources.
